MNM Club (Ladies Wing) celebrates Women's Day

International Women's Day (IWD) which celebrated on the 8th of March every year, is a important day of global celebration of women. In different regions the focus of the celebrations ranges from general celebration of respect, appreciation and love towards women to a celebration for woman's economic, political and social achievements.



Mrs. Suchitha Nanda Gopal, president of MNM Club (Ladies Wing) lit the lamp in front of Late Indira Gandhi's portrait and inaugurated the 100th International Woman's day program. Later addressing the women she said, "Recognition for a lady is very much important and when we get the opportunities, we have to grab it and act accordingly. Many women are getting opportunities but they are not utilizing it. This is a male dominant world and we women hesitate to compete with men. Why we selected 8th March to solve our problems, by holding large-scale events that honour a women's advancement and while diligently reminding of the continued vigilance and action required to ensure that woman's equality is gained and maintained in all aspects of life." Further continuing she said, "The hands that rock the cradle will rule the world." She said that by involving in political and industrial fields, women can achieve a lot in the society as well as they can rule the country like Mrs. Late Indira Gandhi.
